COVID-19 SERVICES
ALASKA FAITH LEADERS COVID-19 TASK FORCE
Revive Alaska Community Services (RACS) was born in response to the need for faith-based organizations and churches across the state of Alaska to have a coalition that will harness the diverse resources within these organizations to serve the community jointly. The purpose is to leverage the multiplying power of combined effort, minimize duplication of duties, and avoid wasting human and material resources while fostering effectiveness in serving our communities. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for such a coalition as churches and faith-based groups sought ways to come alongside the government to mitigate the ravaging disease.

From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Revive Alaska Community Services (RACS) has been at the forefront of mobilizing and directing resources to the most vulnerable among us. In response to the pandemic, RACS initiated a coalition of faith leaders across the state and formed the Alaska Faith Leaders COVID-19 Task Force which supplied a pool of resources to help mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic across Anchorage and Alaska. In addition, the Task Force collaborated with the state government and other nonprofit agencies to alleviate the COVID-19 crisis.
